in all clothes washers. I have 10 washing machines in rental houses that have been in service about 12 years and a flood from a plugged tube has only happened once. I'm inclined to believe this problem is caused by debris in clothes rather than soap or dirt. Don't know for sure, but it's probably a good idea to shake off small particles (e.g. woods chips, saw dust, styrofoam, grass clippings, caviar) on clothes before loading them in the machine to reduce the chance of this sort of clog.
